Exploring a new formal language with texturing salvaged steel, these works seek to engage with the transference of human labor into the contortion of form, whether instilled into an individual plate or the amalgamation of multiple. These tortured surfaces seek to explore the geological forces of time and formation.

The language of the stone quarried from the mountainside will emerge as these studies develop into solid forms, with side panels welded and ground to create the impression of solidity and mass. While these studies await completion, this work expresses the initial worldbuilding of newly explored process and technique.
